For those who do not wish to pay for security product, there are various security vendors like Panda, Comodo, and Immunet which also provide a free basic version.
Avast! Free Antivirus is free for all Windows and Linux home user. Among other well-known vendors such as Kaspersky, Bitdefender, AVG or Microsoft Security Essential, I personally still prefer Avast!.
